Student Temporary Services
Student Temporary Services (STS) is an on-campus temporary service that places DePaul Students in temporary assignments in departments around campus. These work assignments give you the opportunity to earn a wage and build your work experience and skills, and are an excellent way to begin your climb up the Ladder of Employment. Working through STS allows you to:
- Enjoy flexibility
Student temps have flexible assignments and schedules, and can choose which days and projects they would prefer.
- Gain a variety of experience
Temp assignments range from web developer to general clerk, in departments throughout the university. These positions allow you to experience many types of jobs in a short period of time.
-
Earn higher wages
Temp wages are usually higher than average student wages due to the short duration and notice of most assignments.
-
Fulfill Work Study
You can fulfill your Federal Work Study award through temp assignments the same you would with a regular student job.
How to Participate in Student Temporary Services
If you are interested in working as a temp for DePaul, apply for the Student Temporary Employees position on the online system. The Student Temporary Service (STS) staff will contact you for an interview if/when an assignment is requested that meets your availability, skills and knowledge.
