Reciprocity
Non–DePaul Students/Alumni
Reciprocal Services offered to students/alumni of colleges and universities outside
the Chicago metro area by DePaul’s Career Center include:
- Various career–related workshops that help
to identify career skills, assist in career choices and determine what kind of work
is most important to you. More than a dozen workshops are offered at various times.
Registration isn’t necessary for visitors to attend.
- To participate, you must have a current letter of reciprocity (see below) on file
and contact DePaul Employer Relations at
recruitstudents@depaul.edu or (312) 362–5201 at least one week prior to
the event.
- Exposure to a variety of Company Presentations
in which representatives from various companies present information regarding their
industry as well as opportunities and work culture within their own corporations.
- Advising availability with the Peer Career Advisors
who provide assistance with resume and cover letter critiquing as well as basic
job search inquiries.
Note: Reciprocity policies vary from school to school and it is usually not
granted within the same state or with graduate level programs. In order to utilize
the Reciprocity Services offered by DePaul’s Career Center, please contact your
institution’s Career Services Department and request an email be sent to:

Each email should come from a Career Services staff member and include the following
information:
- Name
- Status (Alumni, Student, etc.)
- Program of Study
- Address
- E–mail
- Phone number
- Request for reciprocity
Once we process the request, we will send a confirmation letter to the student.
This letter will contain further information about services.
DePaul Students/Alumni
If you are moving out of the area and would like to use Career Services at another
school, please fill out the “Reciprocity Application Form” located at the bottom
and fax it to (312) 362–8565 or mail it in to:

Our office will process your form and send a letter of request to the indicated
institution. We will also send you a copy of the letter of request. Once you receive
this letter, you may contact the institution for further instructions.
Note: Reciprocity policies vary from school to school and it is usually not
granted within the same state or with graduate level programs. Please check with
the school you would like to visit for specific reciprocity policies.
