Want to learn about our online recruiting job and internship database, DePaul Experience as well as other job search strategies to find opportunities? Bring your complete resume to our workshop and learn how to apply your skills and interests to search positions and industries on the spot. This will be a working workshop in the computer lab where we will review best practices with resume writing, how to search for positions based on skills, interests, and values, and actively applying to a position on the spot.

Join us on Tuesday, April 22, as we celebrate three of Chicago's leading "Green" entrepreneurs and welcome them to the Lincoln Park Campus to discuss the intersection of sustainable green food initiatives and entrepreneurship. Sandra Holl is founder of Floriole Cafe and Bakery, recognized as one of Chicago's top bakeries. She will be joined by Marc Bernard, Executive Chef at Big Bowl and owner of Rustic Road Farm, and Alexandra Curatolo, Owner of Belli's local food market. These innovative entrepreneurs will share business ideas that bring food from the farm to the tables of restaurants, hotels, and schools throughout Chicago. We'll begin at 4:30pm on Tuesday, April 22, in Room 314A of the Lincoln Park Student Center for an afternoon of environmental and entrepreneurial conversation and food! The first 50 attendees will receive a free seed kit. The Earth Day event is the fifth and final event of our Coleman Connections series for the 2013-2014 academic year. Our program is part of DePaul's campus-wide Earth Week Celebration, and we are pleased to partner with DePaul's Urban Farm Organization and our Department of Environmental Science and Studies. This is a hands-on workshop held in a computer lab. Learn the value of LinkedIn as an online networking tool and the basics of building a professional profile that represents your online brand. After building your profile, we will also discuss and demonstrate making connections to build your network, joining relevant groups, and cover some basic job searching tips on LinkedIn. Please be sure to create a LinkedIn account before the workshop so you have a starting point when you attend the workshop.
