This is a prerequisite workshop for UIP and must be completed in order to enroll in an academic internship course to earn Experiential Learning credit. Students who have not yet secured an internship are welcome to attend this workshop. The UIP Orientation provides you with the information you need to complete the enrollment process, and register for a University Internship Program course. In this workshop, you will learn the format and content of the UIP 250, 251, 252, 253, 254, 350 and 367 courses, as well as how completing an internship can help you explore career paths, gain valuable experience and connect with professionals in your area of interest. Note: For UIP Webinars, you will receive instructions via email the day before the scheduled webinar. An Internet connection and the ability to hear audio is required to participate.

Panel Discussion ? Women in Technology Thursday, October 23, 2014 3:00pm ? 5:00pm Overview & Event Structure The Panel Discussion at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago provides women undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing a career in information technology or computer sciences the ability to hear from successful women with technology careers at the Fed. These women will answer set questions provided by a moderator prior to opening up the evening to questions from the audience. Topics will include how they achieved their current status, tips and advice for the students, what it is like to work in their area at the Federal Reserve, insight from previous experiences, and more. Students will be able to ask the panelists additional questions in a group setting or individually during the built-in networking time. You will be introduced to various types of interviews, including behavioral interviewing. This workshop is a teleconference and will be conducted over the phone.
