In preparation for the upcoming 2014-15 recruitment season, we are sending you the registration link for the student Virtual Information Sessions that we mentioned during your session. This link will take them directly to the registration site and allow them to select a date to attend from one of five options. The DePaul Career Center's Teacher's Forum offers new teachers the opportunity to gain critical skills and network with principals and professionals in education. This event will provide opportunities to: -Gain insight through a keynote address -Participate in topic roundtable discussions with seasoned educators -Practice mock interviews with principals (Limited space and additional registration required) -Take advantage of on-site resume critiques and new "Tech Corner" education show and tell -Network with teachers, principals and fellow DePaul educator alumni Note: If interested in the mock interview portion, please e-mail Gina Anselmo at ganselmo@depaul.edu for information about registration and eligibility. This is part two of the hands-on LinkedIn workshop series held in a computer lab. Do you already have a profile, made some connections, joined some groups, but still want to know how to use your profile to get results? This workshop is for people who are already comfortable with the basics of LinkedIn, but want to learn more about leveraging their network, utilizing 2nd and 3rd degree connections, advanced job searching techniques, and much more. Workshop participants should be active LinkedIn users as we will not cover the basics of building your LinkedIn profile in this workshop. Please come to the workshop ready to work on your profile as we discuss these techniques. Still a LinkedIn beginner? This is a prerequisite workshop for UIP and must be completed in order to enroll in an academic internship course to earn Experiential Learning credit. Students who have not yet secured an internship are welcome to attend this workshop. The UIP Orientation provides you with the information you need to complete the enrollment process, and register for a University Internship Program course. In this workshop, you will learn the format and content of the UIP 250, 251, 252, 253, 254, 350 and 367 courses, as well as how completing an internship can help you explore career paths, gain valuable experience and connect with professionals in your area of interest. Note: For UIP Webinars, you will receive instructions via email the day before the scheduled webinar. An Internet connection and the ability to hear audio is required to participate.
