Volunteer Opportunities

Career Mentors

Teach the value of networking by sharing your professional experiences and industry insight. Provide short- or long-term career guidance via email, phone, or in person. (Requests for mentors are initiated by interested students and alumni.) Looking for more? Coach first-generation college students, students of color, or student leaders, among others, in a year-long mentoring relationship.

Practice Interviews

Conduct simulated 1-hour interviews and provide feedback on resumes, interview skills, and overall presentation. Practice Interviews are offered throughout the year and on each campus (primarily Loop and Lincoln Park). Additional opportunities include mock phone screenings, portfolio reviews, case studies, and industry-specific interviews.

Networking Resource, Speakers, and Panelists

Serve as a speaker or panelist and share industry insight, career guidance, and your experiences as a DePaul student. Opportunities include career center events, college-specific activities, and industry-specific roundtable discussions, among others.See current schedule.

Job and Internship Fairs

Run the "ASK Oasis", a designated place at each DePaul job fair where students can come to regroup and practice their handshakes and 30-second pitches. Help job seekers navigate successfully through prospect employers. See current schedule.

Admission Events

Talk to high school students about your DePaul experience. Support Admission Counselors at college fairs and high school visits

Job Test Drive

Invite interested students to spend some time with you at your office to learn more about your job and the day-to-day of your industry. Recommend DePaul students for available internships at your company.

Testimonials and Resources

Share your experiences in writing. Be the expert for career center articles related to your industry or field. Review the influence of professional organizations, journals and publications relevant to your area.
