The earlier you start preparing, the better idea you’ll have of where you want to go and how you’re going to get there. Start off your senior year right with our checklist that will help get you on the track to a smooth, successful future after graduation.

Ready to go from college to career? Make your move!

  1. Prepare: Build effective job-finding tools! Translate your skills and achievements into a tailored resume, portfolio, and cover letter.
  2. Practice: Refine your interviewing skills with pros! Practice online at or in-person with an Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK) mentor,
  3. Network: Connect with professionals via LinkedIn and ASK and at networking events.
  4. Go! Begin your job search!
    Start your job search three to six months before you graduate. Attend job fairs, apply to positions on Handshake, and send inquiry cover letters and resumes to companies of interest.
