In addition to full-time staff advisors, the Career Center team features a number of Graduate Interns who take on a variety of regular advising and operational responsibilities. They hold one-on-one career advising appointments, provide feedback on resumes, lead classroom presentations, facilitate career exploration workshops, assist with networking events and job/internship fairs, help develop and revise content for programs, and much more!

Advising Policies

To receive the maximum benefit from your advising session, prior to your appointment we ask that you:

  • Register in DePaul.Experience: Fill out your profile prior to your appointment
  • Do some career exploration of your own: This can include career research, attending Career Center workshops, or taking advantage of Peer Career Advising.
Cancellations

We request that you cancel appointments 24 hours in advance of the appointment - at that point, every effort will be made to reschedule the appointment within 5 business days.

Electronic Resume Reviews

Advisors will review resumes and job search correspondence within 2-5 business days of receiving it via email.

Tardiness

If a student or alumni is more than 15 minutes late for an advising appointment, the advisor reserves the right to reschedule the appointment.

Alumni Advising

Alumni who graduated more than a year ago are limited to three interactions with a career advisor in person, by phone or email. Alumni are encouraged to view the career service offerings through the Office of Alumni Relations.
